Welding tables

Professional Welding Tables for Workshops and Production

Welding table is a basic workstation wherever precise positioning of components, stable clamping, and repeatability during welding are important. A properly selected tabletop, hole system, and suitable accessories allow you to quickly prepare a workpiece for assembly, position it correctly, and safely secure it during work.

POS-MET welding tables are designed for both craft and metalworking workshops as well as manufacturing facilities. They are suitable for one-off production, series production, steel structure assembly, and wherever a welding and assembly table is expected to provide a stable and precise working surface.

The range includes tables in two main standards: System 16 and System 28, as well as in the STANDARD, PROFI and EXTREME series. This makes it possible to select the right welding table according to the size of the workpieces, type of production, required number of clamping points, and expected load capacity.

System 16 or System 28?

When selecting a table, it is worth starting with the choice of hole system. The hole diameter determines the type of compatible tooling, pins, clamps, angle brackets, and other clamping components.

System 16 Welding Tables

System 16 uses 16 mm diameter holes and provides a high degree of freedom for precise positioning of workpieces. Depending on the series and table dimensions, it can be used both for workshop work and more demanding production applications.

In the System 16, various hole grid configurations are available, including:

  • 50×50 mm,
  • 100×100 mm,
  • diagonal configuration.

The 50×50 mm grid provides a large number of clamping points across the entire tabletop and works well where dense positioning of smaller components is required.

System 28 Welding Tables

System 28 uses 28 mm diameter holes and is compatible with larger tooling designed for stable clamping of components of various sizes.

System 28 tables are often selected for intensive workshop and industrial work, steel structure assembly, and production requiring a robust and repeatable clamping system.

Depending on the model, a 100×100 mm grid or a diagonal configuration is used.

POS-MET Welding Table Series

The POS-MET range includes welding tables in the STANDARD, PROFI, and EXTREME series. The individual series differ in technical parameters, tabletop thickness, load capacity, and level of construction sophistication.

STANDARD Series

STANDARD tables are a solution for everyday workshop, metalworking, and production work. Depending on the model, different tabletop thicknesses and load capacity levels are available. They are a suitable solution for users who need a solid, modular table for welding and assembly, with the possibility of further expanding the workstation.

PROFI Series

The PROFI series is designed for more demanding users who expect high precision, stability, and good operating parameters during intensive use. PROFI tables are available in both System 16 and System 28 and come in numerous dimensions and tabletop configurations.

EXTREME Series

EXTREME tables are the most advanced models, designed for demanding industrial applications, series production, and work with large and heavy structures. Depending on the variant, tables are available with increased tabletop thickness and very high load capacity, allowing them to be used as professional assembly and welding workstations.

Available Dimensions and Technical Parameters

POS-MET welding tables are available in many sizes, making it possible to select a working surface according to the type of structures being manufactured.

The range includes, among others, models:

  • 1200×800 mm,
  • 1200×1200 mm,
  • 1500×1000 mm,
  • 2000×1000 mm,
  • 2400×1200 mm,
  • 2990×1490 mm.

The working height of the available tables is 880-930 mm, allowing the workstation to be comfortably adapted to the operator and working conditions.

Tabletop thickness depends on the system, series, and model. The current range includes, among others, the following variants:

  • 8 mm,
  • 12 mm,
  • 15 mm,
  • 25 mm.

Load capacity also depends on the specific table. In lighter configurations, it is approximately 1000 kg, while the most robust EXTREME System 28 models have a load capacity of up to 6000 kg.

Hole Grid and Precise Positioning

The modular hole grid means that the table surface serves not only as a working area but also as an extensive system for clamping and positioning workpieces. Pins, clamps, fixtures, angle brackets, stops, stoppers, V-blocks, and other compatible welding accessories and tooling components can be mounted in the holes.

This solution enables quick and precise positioning of components relative to one another, the creation of fixed reference points, and the reproduction of the same assembly configurations. This is particularly important for work requiring high accuracy and production repeatability. Selected models also feature milled and chamfered holes, which make it easier to precisely position tooling on the table surface.

How to Choose the Right Welding Table?

When making a selection, it is worth considering several basic technical parameters.

Working Surface

The tabletop should be matched to the dimensions of the components being manufactured. A table that is too small may limit access to the workpiece and the number of available clamping points.

Tabletop Thickness

A thicker tabletop increases rigidity and allows work with greater loads. The choice should depend on the weight of the structure and the intensity of use.

Load Capacity

The table’s load capacity must be matched to the actual weight of the components being processed. Exceeding the permissible load may lead to deformation or loss of workstation accuracy.

Hole System

System 16 and System 28 differ in hole diameter, tooling characteristics, and configuration options. The choice should take into account the type of production and the accessories being used.

Flatness and Tolerance

A precision welding table should provide an appropriate level of tabletop flatness, as this affects the accuracy of component positioning and the geometry of the finished structure.

Welding Tables for Series and One-Off Production

Modular table is suitable for both individual projects and repeatable production.

In one-off production, the greatest advantage is the flexible workstation configuration. Each workpiece can be positioned individually, and the arrangement of the tooling can be adapted to the specific project.

In series production, repeatability is the key factor. Once the clamping points have been prepared, components can be positioned in the same locations again, reducing setup time and increasing process stability.

Proper clamping can also limit component movement during welding and help better control deformation resulting from thermal stresses.

Welding Table Accessories

The functionality of the table can be significantly expanded by selecting the appropriate tooling.

The most commonly used components include:

  • clamping pins,
  • clamps and hold-down clamps,
  • welding angle brackets,
  • stoppers,
  • stops,
  • V-blocks,
  • spatial accessories,
  • extensions,
  • components that increase the working surface.

Thanks to these components, a single workstation can be adapted for welding frames, profiles, pipes, railings, fences, machine components, and other metal structures.

Work Comfort and Workstation Organization

A properly selected table affects not only precision but also operator comfort.

Adjustable height, the appropriate tabletop dimensions, and an organized clamping system help reduce unnecessary movements and shorten the time required to position components.

Tables can also be used as part of extended production workstations and, in certain configurations, as components of semi-automatic and robotic systems.

Welding Tables for Workshops, Metalworking Shops, and Manufacturing Facilities

POS-MET welding tables are used in welding workshops and metalworking shops as well as in the production of steel structures, machine assembly, and the manufacture of frames, railings, and fences. They are also suitable for series production, where repeatable component positioning is important, as well as for craft work and DIY projects.

Thanks to the wide range of dimensions, clamping systems, and available configurations, it is possible to select both a compact workshop table for smaller workpieces and a large industrial table designed for intensive use in a manufacturing facility.
