PROFI System 28 Series

A professional welding table for demanding assembly applications.
The PROFI Series System 28 welding tables are a solution designed for professional welding shops, production plants, and workshops where precision, stability, and the ability to work with heavy components are essential. Every welding table in this series creates a durable workstation for assembling, positioning, and welding large steel structures.

System 28 utilizes mounting holes with a diameter of 28 mm. They allow for quick clamping of the workpiece, changing the fixture arrangement, and adapting the working surface to specific tasks. The regular hole pattern facilitates maintaining structural geometry and increases accuracy during both single-unit and series welding operations.

The PROFI Series is a solid choice for users who demand higher manufacturing precision than standard workbench solutions can offer.
System 28 for heavy-duty applications.
System 28 has been engineered for heavy loads and the assembly of massive components. The 28 mm hole diameter enables the use of heavy-duty locking pins, welding clamps, stops, and squares.

Key system 28 capabilities:

stable clamping of elements for welding,
positioning workpieces at the required angle,
rapidly change the workstation configuration,
repeatable assembly of series components,
working with heavy structures,
extending the table with additional system accessories.

In comparison to System 16 (also designated as D16), the D28 system is engineered for heavier loads. While 16 mm holes are suited for lighter and more compact structures, the 22 mm (D22) system offers an intermediate solution. The PROFI Series utilizes System 28, which aligns well with the demanding requirements of industrial assembly and steel fabrication.
Steel tabletop with precisely machined holes
The tabletop forms the foundation of the entire workstation. In the PROFI Series, it is crafted from high-quality structural steel, ensuring adequate load capacity, rigidity, and resistance to intensive use.

The tabletop is available in a thickness of 12 or 15 mm, ensuring the structure remains stable when clamping heavy workpieces. The holes are drilled, milled, and chamfered. Chamfered holes facilitate the insertion of locking pins and reduce the risk of accessory damage during assembly.

Key features of the tabletop surface include:

high flatness,
precisely machined 28 mm holes,
robust steel construction,
resistance to heat and mechanical loads,
high durability during daily operations.

Tabletop flatness directly affects the accuracy of part positioning. The more precise the working surface, the easier it is to maintain the required dimensions and angles of the finished structure.
100 × 100 mm hole grid
PROFI System 28 welding tabletops are equipped with a regular grid of mounting holes. The 100 × 100 mm layout allows for convenient arrangement of tooling and establishing fixed baseline points.

The 100×100 grid proves effective during:

assembly of frames and profiles,
welding steel structures,
positioning elements at right angles,
clamping large parts,
quality control and geometry inspection,
producing repeatable parts.

Properly spaced mounting holes increase the functionality of the workstation and reduce setup time for welding elements.
Accessories for System 28 welding tables
A professional welding table can be expanded with welding table accessories tailored to the 28 mm diameter. They allow for quick positioning, supporting, and securing of parts without the need to prepare additional fixtures every time.

The most commonly used elements include:

fastening pin,
welding clamps,
clamps and hold-downs,
welding square,
stop,
bumper
V-block,
spacer and support elements.

The square enables precise positioning of parts at a 90° angle, while stops create fixed baseline points. This allows the welder to repeatedly position components in the exact same location, maintaining high production repeatability.
Available sizes of PROFI System 28 tables
POS-MET offers six configurations of the PROFI System 28 tables, which can be tailored to the available space and the size of the processed structures: 1200×800 mm, 1200×1200 mm, 1500×1000 mm, 2000×1000 mm, 2400×1200 mm, and 2990×1490 mm.
1200 × 800 mm welding table
A compact model for precise assembly of smaller components and tasks requiring a professional yet space-efficient workstation.
1200 × 1200 mm welding table
A table with a larger working surface, well-suited for assembling components that require more generous spacing for tooling and fixtures.
1500 × 1000 mm welding table
A versatile workbench providing comfortable work organization for profiles, frames, and medium-sized structures.
2000 × 1000 mm welding table
A professional table designed for more demanding production projects. The larger tabletop surface facilitates the assembly and positioning of complex components.
2400 × 1200 mm welding table
A model used in structural manufacturing and tasks requiring a large working surface alongside high clamping stability.
2990 × 1490 mm welding table
The largest model in the PROFI System 28 series. Featuring 6 legs and a load capacity of up to 4200 kg (compared to 4 legs and 2800 kg in other sizes), it offers the highest stability when working with the heaviest structures. Available exclusively with a 12 mm tabletop thickness.

Depending on the equipment, the table can be fitted with adjustable legs that allow for leveling the tabletop and adjusting the height of the workstation. Using casters, on the other hand, can turn the structure into a mobile workbench.
Table protection and maintenance
During welding, spatter can settle on the tabletop surface and inside the mounting holes. Regular removal facilitates pin installation and helps maintain the accuracy of the clamping system.

Maintenance should include:

cleaning the tabletop surface,
spatter removal,
inspecting hole clearance,
protecting steel against corrosion,
periodic flatness inspection.

Proper maintenance reduces the risk of corrosion and extends the service life of the table. Heavy grinding of the surface is not recommended, as it can alter its geometry.
Why choose the PROFI System 28 Series?
In the welding table market, steel and cast iron constructions are available, as well as models with varying tabletop thicknesses, including 12 mm, 15 mm, or 25 mm. When choosing, one should analyze not only the price or brand, but above all the technical parameters, load capacity, flatness, and hole manufacturing precision.
